Senior Designer Job - Interior Investments
Senior Commercial Interior Designer- Interior Investments is a premier Commercial Interiors company specializing in Corporate, Healthcare, Higher Education, and Government design, Furnishings, and workplace consulting. We are currently seeking a Senior interior designer that is highly motivated and detail oriented to work in a high volume and fast paced environment for our Corporate vertical market team. The designer role has various responsibilities and experience expectations.
· Consult with external customers to understand design needs
· Travel to customer locations to evaluate interior design site and conduct field measurements
· Evaluate existing documentation and conditions
· Identify life, safety, and code requirements
· Analyze design objectives and spatial requirements
· Formulate preliminary plans and design concepts for client discussion and approval
· Describe function and aesthetic of each project
· Develop presentation items for client including renderings, boards, and powerpoint presentations
· Complete necessary documentation including project binders and registration
· Space planning and furnishing arrangements
· Interior finish recommendations including wall, window, floor and ceiling treatments
· Furnishings, fixtures, millwork and hardware selections and plans
· Develop art, accessory and branding solutions for built environment
· Understands and interprets industry trends and translates those to our client base
· Develop drawing and legends to be used for the construction of the design
· Attend presentations and document requirements and visions as described by the client
· Assist other designers with larger projects
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor degree in Interior design/Interior Architecture or equivalent experience
· 5+ years previous experience in commercial interior design within a Furniture dealership, including experience selling design concepts to customers
· Demonstrated success working independently and handling multiple projects in various stages of completion
· Demonstrated ability to research technical information
· Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCad, SketchUp, Visual Impressions
· Ability to read blueprints and perform hand drafting
· Ability to travel to client locations in WI locations
