THE MISSION OF THE ASID MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The mission of the ASID Wisconsin Mentorship Program is to empower ASID Student Members enrolled in an interior design program by establishing a professional relationship with an experienced ASID Member design professional that will enhance their professional and personal growth enabling them to maximize skills, make positive career choices, and achieve their career goals. The act of mentoring builds relationships, strengthens our industry and ensures its future.

With this vision in mind, the ASID Wisconsin Mentorship  Program envisions a group of goal oriented interior design students receiving support and guidance from skilled and knowledgeable industry professionals in a nurturing one-on-one relationship. This invaluable experience will allow students to further develop professional skills and obtain guidance towards making responsible decisions in their career as interior designers.

Goals and Objectives:

  • To build and maintain a well-structured mentorship program that will benefit the mentors and mentees in their career development
  • To establish a partnership between an experienced interior design industry professional and emerging professional creating a lasting career network
  • To enrich students’ personal and professional lives by providing a collaborative support system and learning experience outside the classroom
  • To engage students and professionals to be active participants of ASID and experience the value of the Mentorship Program.
