Job Summary
The Junior Interior Designer II will work closely with Strang's integrated team of interior designers, architects, and project engineers to develop designs, plans and specifications for a variety of exciting project types. Working under the direction of design leads and project managers, you will gain knowledge and experience in all phases of design from feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, calculations and the production of construction documents. This position will be located at our growing Waukesha office, with flexibility to work from home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the lead designer in the development of interior design concepts and presentation materials for commercial, higher education, science and technology projects.
- Develops pre-design graphics and renderings and material boards for client presentations
- Creates, updates, and maintains furniture and finish plans and schedules in Revit.
- Assists in the development of construction documents in adherence to the local building and accessibility codes.
- Supports the construction administration team during construction with shop drawing review, site visits, and the development of punch lists.
- Manage interiors library, vendor appointments, and sample requests.
