June 2023 Member Spotlight

Nicole Greuel is a Studio Lead and licensed Senior Designer at Creative Business Interiors - a design-build-furnish firm in Milwaukee. Nicole has been in the interior design industry for 12 years, 10 of those years with Creative. With a focus on corporate interiors, Nicole stays educated on building codes, industry standards and workplace research. She takes clients through a proven design process to provide tailored solutions backed by data and generates thoughtful recommendations to clients based on their project goals. Nicole is known for her thorough communication, team-player attitude, and mentorship. Nicole executes full construction documents for bidding, permitting and construction for interior alterations.

Nicole has been an ASID member beginning as a student member at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She graduated from the Interior Architecture program in 2011.

In 2012, she assisted in the startup of the Emerging Professionals Committee, focusing on events catered to designers within the first 5 years of their career, and moved from committee volunteer to Chair from 2017-2020. Nicole served as Membership Director from 2021-2022 and is currently the Chair for the Government Affairs Committee. Nicole received the Top 5 Under 5 Award in 2016 and Volunteer of the Year in 2017.

Nicole continues her education and professional development with Creative’s support. She completed the “Living as a Leader - Emerging Leader Series”, promoted by Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce in 2019, and was accepted into and recently completed the course “Advancing into Firm Leadership” offered by Women In Design.

Nicole enjoys traveling with both friends and her fiancé and is headed to Italy for two weeks in August. She plays volleyball and more recently started playing tennis - she has been part of the AC Tennis league for three years. Nicole enjoys cooking at home and going out to dinner at her favorite restaurants in the Milwaukee area.
